You will be thoroughly prepared in Belgium by our volunteers team
and in Ecuador, you will be guided by Ria, Jean and Angelica.

For whom is an internship at ECASSEF ?

For whom is willing to hang his “European coat” on the coat hook
and is open for new experiences.

For anynone with a minimum age of 18 years and thinks he/she has to offer
something of him/her self
|
 |
People from all ages above 18 and from all occupations are welcome.
|
 |
Beginners in the following items are more than welcome:
teachers (level starting at kindergarten); professional teachers (Computer, English, practical education);
artistic directions; social and pedagogical directions,
tourism, medical and paramedical directions, agriculture,…

How long takes an internship at ECASSEF
?
 |
Minimal three months effective internship or working as a volunteer
|
 |
You need a month to get used yourself, and to make the local population trust you,
thus remainig two months out of three where you effectively can do something.
|
 |
Especially in the education projects, it is good to stay at least six months.
|
 |
At least, you will have to adapt to the slow rhytm of this country
|

What can you
do ? In which projects can you participate in an internship or working as a volunteer at ECASSEF

Moraspungo and Gualsaqui: help in the kindergarten (children between 2.5 and 5 years);
you work together with the local promoters.

Base school in
Moraspungo (children between 6 and 12 years): further work out of the “green school” project (vegetable garden, chickenproject and
healthy food), environment education, hygiene, English lessons,
computer education, creative activities (knocking things together, music
and dance), coaching of students with learning difficulties,

Association
RUSHITAMO in Moraspungo: Guidance and further work out of communitarian tourism, English lessons, budget management,
quality improvement of things of art, commercialisation of
things of art, ... |

Gualsaqui:
organisation and further work out of a free market, guidance of the music- and dance work shop, guidance of agricultural project (kind of
allotment gardens), help in the health centre,
.... |

Intag Zone:
further work out and guidance of fairtrade-project: organise a chain to sell the local agricultural products on the national
market, guidance of agricultural processes of local products
(vegetables, coffee, cacao,..) |

Yachay Wasi:
organisation and further working out of the different branches; e.g. a
PMS-centre, guidance of women in problem situations,
short term education, starting and guidance of productive agricultural-
and art projects, ...

El Quinde: help
in the basic school according to the needs of the moment,
tidying up the community house and volunteers stay
|
 |
During the vacation months (july and august):
organisation of activities for the children: games, sports and additional education
to prepare the students for the high school (computer,
English, mathematics, ...)
